Meet the team series - Casey

Next in our meet the team series is the beautiful Casey, though most of you probably already know her as the founder and owner of Meraki Holistic Health.

Her years as a Chinese Medicine practitioner have not only given her a depth of knowledge as a healer, but also an ability to guide her clients with intuition and trust, leaving them feeling supported and seen.

We wanted to know more about her journey, both professionally and personally!

What was your vision when you founded Meraki Holistic Health, and has it changed over the years?

My vision for Meraki initially was to create an environment where people already felt on top of the world and enlightened as soon as they walked into the space, and of course even better when they left post treatment. For me it was all about the experience and that's still a big part of of Meraki now.

What's your favourite part of your days in clinic??

My favourite part of my days in clinic is having funny conversations in the staff room (which happens everyday!!) and seeing my clients come in early just so they can relax before their appointment because they love the space as much as we do!

How do you stay both creative as a business owner, and calm as a healer?

This was hard to navigate when I first started Meraki 7 years ago because I had no idea how to keep them seperate! Now I've learnt a few things to help me be the best I can be in both of these spaces. I've learnt to tap into my energy and tune in to my body to know exactly what I need (also cycle tracking - it's a game changer for women in business!). I'm also very big on making decisions from a place of ease and flow vs discomfort and stress, which helps so much. And one more thing, the big one - make sure to have fun at every stage, no matter if it feels mundane or exciting and new!

As a healer, what is one thing you think our wider collective needs the most right now?

To just be - we are human BEings after all. And I think we sometimes forget to listen to ourselves, and we get caught up in the 'shoulds' (or others' expectations) instead of learning to simply just be and tuning inwards. By doing this we will be guided towards what we desire and we can release stress, burn out and feelings of unfulfillment (which I'm seeing a lot of with my clients).

Why do you do what you do?

The million dollar question! I do what I do because I know I can help make a difference in peoples lives. I've always been a listener and a helper for people (especially on planes!) since I was young and knew this was something I wanted to pursue. I know what it's like to feel off your path, having health issues pop up and to be stressed out all at once so if I can help those around me with my gifts and past experiences then I will continue to do it everyday!

What would you tell your younger self that you know now?

Listen to your gut - no matter how difficult it may be, there's always a reason why and it always works out.

If you have yet to see Casey for a treatment, this is your sign to book in. Come experience her warmth and authenticity for yourself!
